Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duelhas officially announced the “Passage of the Sun” Selection Pack, featuring new support with cards for several popular archetypes. Konami has frequently added new cards and strategies to the digital platform for its massively popular card game since the client’s release last year. The digital card game typically adds one ortwo new Selection Packswith each new monthly season, introducing more cards already released in the physical TCG to the game. Now, the newest Selection Pack will feature support for popular archetypes like “Witchcrafter” and “Mayakashi.”

Recent additions toYu-Gi-Oh Master Duelhave introduced several powerful archetypes that have caused major shifts to the digital card game’s meta. February’s “Sprites of Miracle” Selection Pack saw the introduction of the “Spright” archetype toMaster Duel, a powerful strategy focused around Level 2 Monsters that has dominated the game’s competitive scene. March also saw the introduction of new cards based around Ishizu Ishtar’s Monsters, which contributed to a powerful Tier 0 deck in the physical TCG. Now, several fan-favorite themes will be receiving new cards in the game’s next Selection Pack

Konami officially announced “Passage of the Sun” on Monday with the pack scheduled to launch the next day. The newest Selection Pack is headlined by “Witchcrafter Vice-Madame” and “Yuki-Onna, the Icicle Mayakashi,” with both archetypes receiving a bundle of new cards in the physical TCG last year. The pack will also feature new additions from the TCG’s “Power of the Elements” set with “Krawler Soma,” as well assupport for “The Winged Dragon of Ra"featured in the 2022 Tin of the Pharoah’s Gods.

The newest Selection Pack inYu-Gi-Oh Master Duelfeatures several cards featured in last year’s “Magnificent Mavens” set from the TCG. Konami has already featured multiple cards from the set throughout recent Selection Packs, including the previously mentioned Ishizu Monsters. The popular Sky Striker archetype also received a handful ofnew cards added to its Secret Packfrom “Magnificent Mavens,” including the powerful “Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage” Spell card.

WithYu-Gi-Oh Master Duelseeing plenty of powerful cards released throughout the past few months, many fans are waiting for one of the TCG’s strongest archetypes to be introduced. Leaks have suggested April’s new Selection Packs will featurethe addition of the powerful Tearlaments archetype. The Tearlaments cards saw massive popularity in the physical TCG as a Fusion-based strategy, even standing as a Tier 0 deck for several months. The plethora of new cards coming toYu-Gi-Oh Master Duel’s cardpool look to keep the digital card game’s meta fresh and exciting.
