A prime example of this comes from Reddit user THATwasSMART210, who recently met a fellowHalo 3player in real life after being friends with them since the game’s initial release in 2007. THATwasSMART210 shared a picture of the two meeting in a restaurant on r/gaming, prompting a warm reaction from other users. According to THATwasSMART210 (who is standing on the left in his picture), his friend is an aspiring musician from Reading, Pennsylvania, while THATwasSMART210 is a small business owner from San Antonio, Texas who has met several other online acquaintances in his travels.

Naturally, some of the other Reddit users who have commented on THATwasSMART210’s post have shared their own stories ofmeeting onlineHaloteammatesin person. Others took note of how long THATwasSMART210 and his friend have known each other and marveled at the fact thatHalo 3has been out for 16 years as of this writing.

Halohas meant a lot of things to its devoted fans over the past 22 years, be it through thecaptivating saga of Master Chiefand his battles against the Covenant or the many friendships that have been forged on the battlefields of the series’ legendary multiplayer.
