5Cadia Mk IV Assault Chainsword
One of the things thatWarhammer: 40K: Darktidedoes better thanWarhammer: Vermintide 2is ammo scarcity, so falling back on a melee weapon is a good idea. The Cadia Chainsword is a good option for that. While it can slice any enemy in half and has a large amount of damage, the best part about this weapon is its ability to hit several enemies at once. This makes it easy for players to keep enemies further away.

However, as mentioned before, it does have great damage even after the first strike. It can cut through hordes of enemies with ease.

Being a light ax, it allows players to hit more often and remain mobile at the same time. All classes benefit from the amazing qualities this ax has. Using this ax against the bosses can be ideal, provided players have backup as well. Overall, it’s a great ax to have throughout the game, and players should upgrade the Antax Axe when they can.
This massive ax is good for huge amounts of damage as well. While not as quick as the Antax ax mentioned above, the holder of this weapon will be a threat and a great help to the team. Ifplayers use Orgyn(which is the tank class ofWarhammer 40K: Darktide) they can benefit from this even more. Since this class can take a lot of damage, players can run in, dish out some hard hits, and then run out, making the rest of the team follow up.
The main aspect of this ax is that if players hit consistently, the damage stacks, which allows them to kill more enemies. Most stages inWarhammer 40K: Darktidehas parts where players have to defend a point, like they do inthe espionage part. This means that players will need to defend the data point, so if players stay near the point and consistently attack with this ax, things get easier.
2Catachan Mk I “Devil’s Claw” Sword
The Zealot Preacher class plays like a tank and a sharpshooter, but can be more versatile if played right. The Zealot is great forclose-range melee attacks, which can be devastating. If players use the horizontal move with this sword, they can slice through several enemies at once. While a strong sword for any class, the Zealot class will be a particular threat with this sword. They are the best at crowd control, and this sword can help with that.
1Crucis Mk II Thunder Hammer
A somewhat slow hammer inWarhammer 40K: Darktide,players using a tank or a class that’s good on melee can feel strong with this weapon. Although slow, the hammer has enormous damage output, so if players time their attacks, they can take down enemies easily. Unlike the swords and axes featured on this list, the hammer won’t slice through enemies, but it will instantly kill them.
Using this weapon against the hordes is rather easy. Players should use this hammer against the bigger enemies and bosses. Most bosses will have armor, and this hammer has great stats for armor penetration, to the point where they can down enemies with a few swings. If the team leaves the bigger enemies and bosses to the mercy of the player with the big hammer, getting through each stage comes with ease.
