Getting better atWarcraft Rumblecan often come down to having a weak army rather than having bad strategies. Leveling up minis increases their stats, which can help change the odds, but upgrading mini Rarity (color) inWarcraft Rumblecan be truly game-changing. Not only does this grant a free bonus level to that troop, mini upgrades also unlock Talent slots.
To upgrade minisWarcraft Rumbleplayers have to go through a few hoops. The processdoesn’t involve Gold like other purchasesin the game, it actually uses three unique account currencies: Arc Energy, Stars, and several tiers of Upgrade Cores. These currencies can be earned in a few ways, after which it’s possible to increase a mini’s Rarity.

First, Earn Enough Stars, Arc Energy, & Upgrade Cores To Level Up
Available In The G.R.I.D., Campaign Levels, & Shop
There are three things players need to upgrade mini Rarity inWarcraft Rumble: Stars, Arc Energy, and Upgrade Cores. Different Rarity levels come with different requirements: Uncommon requires just three Stars and 500 Arc Energy, but the Rare, Epic, and Legendary upgrades ask for exponentially more upgrade materials.
To get Stars, players can head to the G.R.I.D. and keep an eye out for +1 Star upgrades to collected troops. The G.R.I.D. rotates with every purchase, and once every day at midnight, so check back often. Sometimes, the G.R.I.D. will offer enough Stars to upgrade a troop, butbe wary of spending too much Goldwithout actually being able to upgrade the unit – Arc Energy and Upgrade Cores are required, too.

The primary way to get Cores and Arc Energy inWarcraft Rumbleis to grind Dungeons. Every week, a new dungeon is available, each of which requires different Leader types to participate. Complete Dungeons for a chunk of Arc Energy, Cores, and other rewards tied to Army upgrades.
How To Upgrade Minis In Warcraft Rumble
Look For A Gold Arrow Next To Minis That Can Be Upgraded
Once players have amassed enough Stars on a mini, and have acquired enough Arc Energy and Cores to perform an upgrade, head to the Collection screen. Here, minis that can be upgraded will have a gold arrow on their icon – select the upgradable mini, then tap the “Upgrade” button at the bottom of the screen.
If you have all the materials necessary, press “Upgrade” again on the following screen, and watch as the mini’s appearance changes – and a new Talent slot opens up. An upgraded mini won’t come with Talents to choose from, theymust be purchased separatelyin the G.R.I.D., but be careful when buying Talents. Only one Slot opens with each Rarity tier, and is automatically filled once an applicable Talent is acquired.
