It’s never too early for fans to get a glimpse of what their favorite movie franchise is cooking up. That doesn’t have to come in the form of a trailer. Marvel Studios did just that when they were involved in Disney’s latest toyline release. This toyline included LEGO’s newest set with characters exclusively from one of Marvel Studios upcoming films:Thor: Love and Thunder.
In this particular LEGO set, fans were given a sneak peek as to who will be in the upcomingThormovie with its figurines. While the display wasn’t exactly clear who will be in the set, odds are it will likely include characters from Thor’s previous solo film such as the titular character himself,Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, and Korg. On top of that, the film includes Mighty Thor and Gorr the God Butcher.

All in all, this toyline did not reveal a ton of information about Thor’s next installment, nor did it introduce much new material as a whole. However, it still provided new material nonetheless. The figures from the Titan Series shows that Thor himself may have a new, blue outfit, and they also provided a closer glimpse at Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster in her Mighty Thor form.
If anything, this should only add to the hype for when Marvel Studios finally releases the film’s trailer. There already is a fair amount of anticipation not just because it will be Taika Waititi’s second time directing aThormovie, but it will also feature the return of the once-departed Portman as Mighty Thor. Factor in the casting of comic book movie legend Christian Bale fromChristopher Nolan’s well-reppedBatmantrilogy, and this film, even without a trailer as of now, has a very invested audience.
Marvel Studios recently hit a home run after the release ofSpider-Man: No Way Homein part because of the return of cast membersfrom previousSpider-Manfranchises. Doing so has renewed interest from fans who had begun tiring of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Thor: Love and Thunderwon’t be doing anything like that, but it has a star-studded cast and a director whose previous Thor movie resonated a lot more with fans than the God of Thunder’s previous two movies did.
For that reason alone,Thor: Love and Thunderis a safe bet to keep the good times coming for Marvel Studios. That is definitely a must at this point because withthe recent announcement by maestro Kevin Feigethat there won’t be anotherAvengersmovie, the MCU will need to come up with different ways to keep their fans' interest in the franchise going forward. As long as Thor and the other Marvel properties keep the fans coming back for more, that won’t be an issue. If they don’t, well, let’s not think about that.
Thor: Love and Thunderis scheduled to be released in theaters on June 15, 2025.
