A Time Travel Story - Hirohiko Araki Approved
The story ofEye’s of Heavenwas made under the supervision ofseries author and artist Hirohiko Arakithus capturing some of the wild brilliance that he has imbued the series with. With his involvement, it’s likely that the adaptation could easily see approval if pushed for.
The story of the game takes place after the events ofStardust Crusaders. After being accosted by several dead allies and foes alike, a young Robert E. O. Speedwagon appears with a piece of theSaint’s Corpse as seen inSteel Ball Run. This piece allows him and the others to travel through time, allowing Jotaro to meet his great-great-grandfather, a younger version of his grandfather Joeseph Joestar, as well as many others from all eight parts of the series. All of this with the goal of trying to defeat another iteration of DIO and his disciple Father Enrico Pucci, so their evil influence cannot continue to spread, and so they cannot collect the rest of the pieces of the Saint’s Corpse for themselves.

DIO - More Powerful Than Ever Before
One of the most exciting parts ofEye’s of Heavenis just how terrifying it makes DIO be than ever before. He has a beefed-up new stand called The World: Over Heaven that is able to take down Giorno and Johnny Tusk without any effort. He even effortlessly vanquished Funny Valentine, completely erasing him from existence. This is because DIO was able to find his way into an alternate universe where he had succeeded in Part 3 and was able to become a god-like being that ruled the entire world. Still, he’s so mad with power that he wants to invade the main timeline to try and take total control of it as well.
Jotaro is barely able to escape their first confrontation and their second fight ends up going even worse. DIO manages to absorb the souls of all of his allies' souls and steal back the final Saint’s Corpse part that Jotaro had been able to keep from him. With this, there are only two people who stand in the way from DIO being able to take over the entire world as he rewrites the universe to his own liking — Jotaro and Jolyne.

A Final Confrontation Of Epic Proportions
With DIO more terrifying than he has ever been at any point of the series, it makes the epic battle to decide the fate of humanity tenser than anything fans have seen before. DIO doesn’t make it easy either, quickly dispatching the two left to fight against him while stealing Jolyne’s soul in the process.
This leaves only Jotaro, who DIO attempts to completely erase from existence once and for all only to fail. It is revealed that Star Platinum has attained Over Heaven as well. He also manages to obtain prime DIO’s armlets, using them to stop the current DIO from being able to warp reality to his own will. These clever moves allow Jotaro to gain the upper hand, stop DIO, and restore all the original realities to the way they once were — with one catch.

He uses his newfound powers to rewrite history so all of his friends and allies that died throughout all eight parts of the series survived. The timeline as we know it then resumes, with Jotaro giving up his Over Heaven abilities. However, he does become a better father to Jolyne and tries his best to avert some of the events that occur in Part 6 of the story. This would make many fans happy who were angered byJotaro being nerfed inStone Ocean.
The Epic Crossover Of Fans' Dreams
In what other story can Jonathon Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Giorno Giovanna, Jolyne Cujoh, and Johnny Joestar all appear and fight alongside one another? In what other timeline is DIO so powerful that the greatest fighters of every single generation have to struggle to take him down? So many fans wonder what would happen if certain characters met. Who would be the strongest? Would they even get along? It would allow for so many fans to have these fantasies play out for their very eyes in anime form.
AsEye’s of Heavenwas released exclusively on thePlayStation 4back in 2016 in western countries and battle arena games aren’t the most popular genre, it’s likely tons of fans of the series have missed out on this incredible spin-off. Getting to see it air every week on TV would be an incredible experience and could possibly even revive the game for aPS5release. It could do so much for the franchise as a way to introduce new audiences to characters across the entire series while teasing characters fans watching the show will get to know in the future.
