If, by chance, twoStarfieldplayers can find the same make and model of a gun locked away in the same safe, there is a good chance the two won’t be equally powerful. Part of what makes the game’s loot system thrilling is the player not being aware of when anincredibleStarfieldgunwill fall into their lap but knowing that one will at some point.

That’s what happened to aStarfieldplayer named FrostedFrickers, who posted a picture of the incredible legendary pistol they found as they were out adventuring around the galaxy. In an image posted to theStarfieldsubreddit, FrostedFrickers showed off their One Inch Punch Modified Calibrated Old Earth Pistol. This handgun packs a whopping 181 physical damage with a fire rate of 60 bullets per minute, making it powerful even compared toother powerfulStarfieldweaponsplayers have found. It has three of its four mod slots taken up with a compensator, a tactical grip, and armor-piercing rounds. All of that alone qualifies this incredible find as a legendary pistol, but as is often the case withStarfieldweapons, it’s the perks that take it over the top.
The gun has three perks, each of which is incredibly deadly on its own. The first is Furious, which makes each hit deal more damage than the last one. Then there’s Rapid, ensuring that the bullets are being fired 25% faster than normal, which does even more damage when factored in with Furious. And finally, there’s the One Inch Punch perk that makes bullets fire in a spread like a shotgun. Essentially, it turns a basic and ancient earthly handgun intoone of the most powerful weaponsStarfieldhas to offer.
For as fanciful as some of the guns inStarfieldcan be, the Old Earth Pistol is based on a real handgun called the M1911 that’s popular in movies and video games. The One Inch Punch perk also has a fascinating history. One Inch Punch is a term that describes a real-life combat technique popularized by martial arts legend Bruce Lee, though it was not invented by him. The technique is of Chinese origin and is said to have been created for close-quarters combat. It was allegedly designed to maximize the force of a common punch to deliver as much force as possible while moving as little as possible. There are some incredibleperks inStarfieldand a few lousy ones, but given the true meaning of the term, having One Inch Punch on a centuries-old pistol that packs a punch greater than most shotguns seems appropriate.
