Aside from the major story arc,Skyrimplayers have their choice of side quests to complete and weapons and armor to gather. As players make their way through the world, they will find a large assortment of axes, swords, and armor sets from which to choose. Due to how longSkyrimhas been out, players have found unique ways to acquire some later game weapons early on. In a recent clip, one player showed off their battle for an Ebony War Axe at just level 1.

Skyrimwas released in 2011 and is the fifth major installment intheElder Scrollsseries. Within the game, players have hundreds of different weapons, shields, and armor from which to choose, but often the better the item, the higher level a player needs to be able to acquire it.

This post comes from u/frozenmollusk, and it details an interesting way to get one of the more powerful war axes inSkyrim. In the clip, this player walks up behind the Draugr Death Overlord in the Nordic tomb known as Volskygge and begins attacking it mercilessly. Instead of having to solve theVolskygge puzzle inSkyrim, this player found the exit to this area and snuck up on this enemy.

As they fight, u/frozenmollusk carefully dances around the throne that this Draugr Death Overlord was originally sat on in order to block the creature’s attacks. For minutes this player does everything right in this tricky battle where a single hit from the enemy would result in death. Finally, they are rewarded with the Ebony War Axe, an impressive weapon in the game, all while being level 1.

There are a long list of tombs and caverns that players can explore as they progress throughSkyrim. Normally, these are to be tackled a bit later in a playthrough but u/frozenmollusk insisted on challenging this intense enemy soon after starting the game. Those looking to replicate this daring act need to enter the last room of Volskygge by going up the mountain and locating the exit. Players should probably save before entering to make sure they have multiple chances at this weapon dropping.

Skyrimlends itself to multiple playthroughs and this is a perfect example of taking the original game and adding in a new, exciting challenge.Ebony weapons can deal quite a lot of damage inSkyrimand make a playthrough a bit easier for those who can successfully get it, but it is far from easy to earn.

Then again, getting such an impressive axe early in a game can make the first few hours feel a bit unsatisfying. On top of that, thetraditional path for aSkyrimplaythroughis already quite rewarding. Either way, this post deserves a lot of credit from those in theSkyrimcommunity.
