Capcom regularly sends out surveys to its fan base in hopes of staying connected with them, like it did back in April with thesurvey onResident Evil 3. Once again, Capcom is reaching out to fans, but this time about a possibleResident Evil Villagedemo.
With the next generation of consoles right around the corner,Resident Evilis looking to take full advantage of the new tech to make bigger, scarier games with better graphics. The next in theRElineup isVillage, orResident Evil 8. This eighth installment will feature some amazing specs thanks to next gen consoles, likeno game load timesand amazing graphics. And it was also hinted during theVillagesurvey that there may be a demo in the future.

Capcom tweeted out a survey for fans, looking for more information on what fans wanted fromVillage. In the questions, Capcom asked if fans would like access to a demo, or if a demo would make it more likely for them to purchase. Previous games, like theResident Evil 3 Remake, had demosas well, giving fans a chance to try out the new content before purchase. This shows a lot of confidence from Capcom in the new games.
While the fact that the survey contains a question about a possible demo doesn’t mean that the demo is guaranteed, it is a good indication that players may have a chance to try it out before they buy. The survey also asked what systems that players are looking to buy the nextREfor, and only next gen consoles were listed. PerhapsResident Evil Villagewill not appear at all on the PS4 or the Xbox One.
Another interesting tidbit picked up from the survey was Capcom’s naming convention for the 8th installment of theREseries. There were a lot of pointed questions about whether gamers saw this as the 8th game, or if those being surveyed could see thenumber 8 in the titleas important. Does this mean futureREtitles will have Roman numerals instead of numbers as well?
While the survey doesn’t give a whole lot of information about the comingREgame, it does give a few hints as to where Capcom is heading. From the trailer, the game looks scary, intense, and yet unique from the other games in the series. Unfortunately, there’s no hint just yet if this new game will beavailable in VR, but fans of the series can hope.
