Summary
A recentGTA Onlineupdate has nerfed the BMX, making it extremely difficult for players to jump high with the vehicle, and several fans are quite unhappy with the change. Just like the plethora of other vehicles in the game, fans use the BMX for a wide range of stunts inGTA Online, and this change essentially makes it impossible to pull off a number of those.
WithGTA 6on the radar and the release window locked in, many would’ve expected that Rockstar Games' focus would shift fromGTA Online. However, that has been far from the case. The developers have been releasing a plethora of new content and events in the game lately. In fact, one of the recentGTA Onlineupdates even included aGTA 6Easter egg. Amid that, players are quite unhappy with one of the changes that the developers rolled out recently.

In a post on theGTA Onlinesubreddit, user Intelligent-Award-57 reveals an easy-to-miss change that was made in theGTA OnlineBottom Dollar Bounties update. As per the user, the stamina cap was lowered after the update which essentially reduces the height at which players can jump while riding the BMX. While that might not seem like that big of a change at first, it is quite a crucial one for players who use the BMX to do stunts. In fact, the user goes on to highlight that after the update they are not able to jump over fences, something which wasn’t the case earlier.
GTA Online BMX Nerfs Has Far-Reaching Consequences
It is crucial to note that the change has far-reaching consequences. As another player highlights, it has also made it extremely difficult for players to complete the Junk Energy Time Trials. The Junk Energy Time Trials are one of thebest ways to earn money inGTA Online, but players will need to rely on other methods after this nerf. Some players were not even aware of the change and were left clueless as to why they kept failing a challenge that they were able to do comfortably earlier.
The user goes on to highlight in detail why the recentGTA Onlineupdate made such as significant change to the BMX. Apparently, players had some handling issues with the BMX before theSalvage Yard update inGTA Online, and the developers had addressed those. Now in attempts to improve it even further, it seems like the BMX mechanics have become quite problematic for doing stunts. With many stating that the change takes away the fun fromGTA Online, it remains to be seen whether Rockstar Games rolls back the change.
