Summary

One gamer shared a classic PS1 game they found going for an incredible deal at a Goodwill store. Sony’sPS1 is often considered one of the best gaming consolesever. Its rich library of thousands of different games and many hidden gems introduced a whole generation to a lot of recognizable franchises that are still relevant to this very day.

While the console is nearing its 30th anniversary, there are still a lot of titles from that generation that are currently available to discover and play. SomePS1 games are still present on PS Plus Premium, which should give young gamers a chance to experience the classics from the ’90s to the early ’00s. However, there are still a few that have been left frozen in time without a means to play them legally. Fans sometimes visit thrift stores to find classics that aren’t easily accessible in the market nowadays.

A Reddit user by the name of OofBubblesSinnoh posted a photo of a rare find they discovered at a Goodwill. The picture shows a used copy of Capcom classicMega Man Legends 2which was priced at 75 cents. Quite a unique deal, especially because theMega Manspin-off series has long been discontinued by the developers.

Mega Man Legendsintroduced a lot of unique secretsand storyline explanations that are different from mainlineMega Mangames. With its unique setting and more cartoony world, it provided a very fresh experience for fans of the side-scrollingMega Mantitles. The cancelation of the long-rumoredMega Man Legends 3was made official in 2011, which means the game has rarely been seen or mentioned for over a decade.

At the moment, Capcom has not announced any releases relating to the Legends series. However, with the company choosing to release various classic collections relating to the Blue Bomber such as theMega Man Legacy Collection, theMega Man X Legacy Collection, and even theMega Man Zero ZX Legacy Collection, there is a certain hope for the spin-off to release indeed. The Legends series was unique in that it was the first fully 3DMega Mantitle in the franchise which opted for more of an action-RPG experience. There were two main games in the series, with a few Japan-only spin-offs as well as an extra one calledThe Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Hopefully, withthe success that recent collections such asMega Man Zero Battle Network Legacy Collectionhave achieved, Capcom could consider bringing back this often-missed series.

Mega Man Legends 2is available on PC, PS1, and PSP.
