InPokemon Scarlet & Violet, an adorable little ghost Pokemon can be found in Mimikyu, a little specter who roams around the Paldea region in its Pikachu costume, looking for friends. Mimikyu has many things about it that could make it desirable for players, from its ability to avoid damage once per battle to its unique Ghost and Fairy Typing.
Regardless of the reason to capture this frightening little poltergeist, here is what players can do to acquire a Mimikyu for themselves to use in the many adventures present in the game.

Mimikyu Location
InPokémon Scarlet & Violet, Mimikyu is said to be found in and near forests. The main location that this refers to in the game is the Tagtree Thicket, nearTeam Star Boss Atticus and his crewof poison type trainers.
Players should head over to this location from the East Province (Area Three) Pokémon Center closest to the trees. Once there, players should head toward the north of the thicket, as Mimikyu will avoid the Team Star base present in the southern area of the thicket. Players will find Mimikyu wandering around after some time.
Increasing the Chance of Finding and Catching Mimikyu
Players can increase their chances of finding a Mimikyu by utilizing picnics. If playersmake a sandwich with the Encounter meal powerfor either the ghost or fairy types, players will see that Mimikyu will become much more common in the Tagtree thicket.
These Mimikyu will be around level 26, so players will also want tohave enough gym badgesto allow them to more easily catch Mimikyu and to verify it will obey them when it is caught.
Wild Tera Type Mimikyu
Another means of locating and catching a Mimikyu comes in the form of awild Tera type Pokemonthat is wandering the field. This particular Mimikyu will be a fairy Tera type and will be encountered at level 65. This Mimikyu can be found in North Province Area Two, on a lake that lies on top of a series of cliffs.
Players willneed the ability to glide climbfor Koraidon or Miraidon, and this lake can only be accessed by climbing up one of the cliff faces that lead to it. This makes this Mimikyu a later game Pokemon to acquire, as its level and the means to access it are soft-lock behind certain milestones in the game. On the other hand, it’s a guarantee that this Mimikyu will be here, and it will respawn every day if players wish to acquire more than one.
