Pokemon GO’s Evolving Stars event adds several new Field Research tasks to the game, and players can access them by spinning PokeStops. Specifically, there are eight Evolving Stars Field Research tasks inPokemon GO, and the vast majority of them fall into one of three categories. For those players that would like to know more about these tasks and their associated rewards, a complete list can be found in this guide.

As a quick point of clarification,Pokemon GO’s Evolving Stars eventis set to conclude on Tuesday, October 11 at 8pm local time. This means that players have less than one week to work on these event-exclusive Field Research tasks, and fans that are interested in its rewards are thus advised to get out there and start spinning PokeStops sooner rather than later.

Of all of these tasks, it is those that award Mega Energy that are perhaps the most exciting. Indeed, the sources ofMega Energy inPokemon GOare quite limited, and players that are trying to Mega Evolve an Aerodactyl, Altaria, Ampharos, Gyarados, Kangaskhan, or Steelix should not miss out on this opportunity to nab some of these resources. Fans may also be happy to claim some Sinnoh Stones and Unova Stones as they work on Evolving Stars Field Research tasks, though those evolution items are certainly not as rare as Mega Energy.

One final thing to note about this event-exclusive Field Research is that there are no catch encounters to be found among its rewards. That said, the second section ofPoGO’s Season of Light Special Research story, A Cosmic Companion, has also been released as part of the Evolving Stars event, and it does award some Pokemon encounters. There is also quite a bit of Cosmog Candy to be earned through A Cosmic Companion, and it can now be used to evolve the Psychic-type Pokemon into Cosmoem.
