InPersona 4, players can come across special golden hands that are hard to beat but provide a lot of money and experience.Persona 5 Royalcontinues the tradition but gives it a Phantom Thief spin by making them Treasure Demons.
Each Treasure Demon is based on a famous gem or item of jewelry from history. Finding them is hard and beating them is even harder, but if players can pull it off they’ll get all kinds of rewards, much more than just money. However,Persona 5 Royaldoesn’t make the job easy.

Where to Find Treasure Demons
Starting withMadarame’s Museum of Vanity, every Palace in the game has at least one Treasure Demon associated with it. A Treasure Demon has a low chance of spawning when players break a search object that has something inside, and the odds go up when the Security Level is high. This means the best time to hunt for Treasure Demons is during a Treasure run, since the Security Level can never go below 80 percent. Treasure Demons also have a chance of showing up during regular Shadow fights.
The other place Treasure Demons show up is in Mementos. Even if players fail to capture any Treasure Demons in a Palace, they can find themwandering through the tunnels of the Mementos areathat unlocks after beating that Palace. For instance, Regent is the Treasure Demon of Madarame’s Palace, and it also appears in the Path of Chemdah.
How to Beat Treasure Demons
Every Treasure Demon inPersona 5 Royalwill spend two turns groaning and then escape the combat. This is true whether they’re alone or whether they’re part of a group. Every Demon is strong against Physical and Gun attacks, but they also have a single elemental weakness that players can exploit. Players can also use Critical hits to knock down Treasure Demons, but not Technical hits.

After knocking a Treasure Demon down, players can use an All-Out Attack to destroy it, though sometimes a Demon needs more than one round to go down for good. Doing so willgive players a good amount of EXPand a large amount of yen. If players try to negotiate with a Treasure Demon, they’ll join Joker immediately with no need for a conversation.

How to Use Treasure Demons
Treasure Demons are completely useless in combat. Players can’t switch to them, and they don’t gain EXP even if players defeat and negotiate with multiple copies. However, these Personas are incredibly useful once Joker brings them to the Velvet Room.
First, every Treasure Demon has a set of eight related skills. For instance, Regent has the first-tier all-target spell for every element, while the Queen’s Necklace has all three single-target buff spells, all three single-target debuff spells, and both Media and Recarm. Treasure Demons can’t use these skills directly, but they can give them toany Personas they create through fusions.
Second, Treasure Demons work differently during fusions. Instead of following the normal fusion chart, Demons will create a new Persona of the same Arcana as whatever they’re fused with. The created Persona will be one or two ranks higher or lower depending on which Treasure Demon players use.

Players should note that higher and lower levels are based on the chosen Persona’s current level and the created Persona’s starting level. So if players want to usea level 85 Baal to create Odin, they’ll need to combine him with a Crystal Skull or Orichalcum since Odin’s starting level is 84. Also, Treasure Demons can’t create Personas that require special fusions like Neko Shogun or Ardha.
The third way to use Treasure Demons is itemization. Each Demon can transform into an accessory of the same name when electrocuted, which means players will need a Black Rock for each one.An active Fusion Alarmwill let them become better-quality versions of these accessories, so players may want to wait for one to start before electrocuting Demons.
