Shueisha Inc., Toei Animation Co., Ltd., and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc are planning a smorgasbord of engaging festivities for ONE PIECE DAY ‘23, celebrating Eiichiro Oda’sOne Pieceacross the mediums of manga, anime, movies, music, games and merchandise. In a hybrid function that will be live-streamed online on YouTube from the in-person event venue at Tokyo Big Sight, the festivities will occur over two days from Friday, July 21 to Saturday, July 22. The event will be the first to have simultaneous English interpretation of main stage festivities in tandem with the live stream. A concept image for the event has also been released, featuring amassive figure of Luffy in his Gear 5 form, as well as a number of exhibits featuring panels from the manga.
Day one of ONE PIECE DAY ‘23 will commence at 5:00 pm JST witha special screening of One Piece Film: Red. Having released in Japan on July 11, 2025, it is the fifteenth feature film in theOne Piecefilm series, and the highest grossing one among them. The special screening is titled “Let’s go! ONE PIECE FILM RED Special Cheer Screening,” and invites attendees to cheer for the movie alongside fans, engaging viewers and making them participate in this celebration of all thingsOne Piece.

This segment will also include a special talk that brings togetherKaori Nazuka, the voice of Uta, and the comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo, who appeared in the film while giving voice to members of the Jellyfish Pirates. While the film itself will not be streamed on YouTube, the talk segment preceding it can be viewed by virtual attendees. For worldwide viewers, the live stream will have English interpretation seamlessly dubbed over the original Japanese, permitting those of all cultures to participate in the festivities.
Continuing the festivities, day two has an even more packed schedule of events, coveringOne Piecein all its incarnations. A “Special Stage” event at 5:40 pm JST features the original cast members from the East Blue Saga with the voices of Mayumi Tanaka (Monkey D .Luffy), Kazuya Nakai (Roronoa Zoro), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp), and Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji). After this, there will be a special voice over followed by aLand of Wano Behind The Scenes Special, where the main cast will be joined by Megumi Han, the voice of Otama, and Hiro Shimono, who voices Momonosuke. Rysuei Ikuta, a voice actor and announcer for Fuji TV will serve as the MC for all these events.
At 7:00 pm JST, there is a scheduled News Corner titled “Find the latest ONE PIECE info here.” Next, there isa move towards the gaming sphereat 9:30 pm JST with a feature of theOne Piecemobile game titled “ONE PIECE Bounty Rush Tournament” Following this, the action shifts to the arena of trading card games with a TCG event, “ONE PIECE Card Game Information Bureau” at 11:00 pm JST. A second News Corner segment featuring Rysuei Ikuta and Shimofuri Myojo is scheduled for 12:45 am, as the festivities wind down on day two. Finally, to wrap up the event, Maki Otsuki and Shimofuri Myojo will appear alongside Rysuei Ikuta for the ONE PIECE DAY ‘23 SPECIAL LIVE at 1:00 am JST.
In the days to come, as the excitement and anticipation builds up towards ONE PIECE DAY ‘23, there will bemore announcements and reveals concerning the eventand theOne Piecefranchise as a whole. After the event’s conclusion, the live stream will be made available for a limited time on YouTube to permit those who missed the event to view it. While there is no set date yet for this, the video will feature English subtitles.
