Monster Hunter: Worldwas unique amongstMonster Huntergames for its inclusion of an extensive number of purchasable DLC cosmetic items. Amongst these optional cosmetics is a collection of new outfits for the Handler, some of which are locked until the player purchases theIceborneexpansion for the game.

Seven of these DLC Handler outfits, though, areavailable to players in the basegame, without the $40 add-on pack. While they’re each purchasable on their own, it’s a bit cheaper to buy them all in a bundle on the player’s preferred console of choice. However, players will likely stick with one or two outfits for the Handler.
7The Handler’s Guildmarm Costume
The Guildmarm outfit for the Handler inMonster Hunter Worldis a callback toMonster Hunter 4and its offshoots. InMonster Hunter 4, Sophia, the Guildmarm, is one of the Guild Receptionists. She wears a green half-circle hat with a feather and gold trim, as well as a forest green overcoat and small glasses.
The Guildmarm outfit brings Sophia’s style back to life in theMonster Hunter: Worldengine. While the Handler might not serve exactly the same purpose as the Guildmarm inMonster Hunter World, this outfit makes her look a little bit more official.
6The Handler’s Sunshine Pareo
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Handler’s Sunshine Pareo outfit. This getup removes any hint of professionalism in the Handler’s outfit – though Pareo Handler looks like she has a lot more fun than the Standard Handler.
The outfit is in two pieces, an upper frilly top and a lower sash. It also includes a flower tucked into the Handler’s hair behind white-rimmed glasses. The Handler was never a bad-looking character, but this outfit gives more of a laid-back outdoorsy vibe, as opposed to the very practicalgear she usually adorns.
5The Handler’s Winter Spirit Coat
Whentackling large monstersin the lava pits of the Elder’s Recess, one can easily take the overwhelming warmth for granted. However, theIceborneexpansion is a chilly one. To prepare for it, the player can give the Handler a Winter Spirit Coat with a fur cape, cylindrical hat, and thick boots with matching bauble adornments.

The costume is one of the Handler’s cutest looks. Unfortunately there just aren’t enough snowy or cold areas in the base game for the outfit to really feel at home. What it lacks in practicality, though, it makes up for with its flat-out style.
4The Handler’s Busy Bee Dress
The Handler’s Busy Bee Dress is one of two animal-themed outfits for the Handler. Of them, this is the more…humanof the two. For this outfit, the Handler gets a Paolumu-like fuzzy mane and head topper, two decorative antennae, hexagonal-lens goggles, and buzzing yellow wings that look like a skirt (plus two baubles on her feet).
It’s an incredibly cute look for the handler, and one that will make her stand out from the rest of the NPCs wandering around Astera. One thing doesn’t make sense about the costume, though: the Handler is described as “busy.“Monster Hunter: Worldplayers can attest to the fact that gets run over by a monster more often than shehelps the player to defeat it.
3The Handler’s Friendly Felyne Costume
Of the two animal-themed DLC outfits for the Handler inMonster Hunter: World, this is the one most players go for. There’s just something special about having an obtusely large Palico-like head staring at the player during dialogue and cutscenes.

The player can barely see the Handler through the costume’s exterior. Her forehead and nose bridge barely are visible behind the Palico’s mouth. One has to wonder, too, whether the Palicoes of Astera take kindly to the Handler wearing an outfit that essentially stereotypes their people. Then again, it’s probably too bizarre for them to comment on.
2The Handler’s Astera 3 Star Chef Coat
The Astera 3-Star Chef Coat is perhaps the most relevant outfit of the seven available to the Handler. The Handler gives the Hunter their quests and objectives, sure, but Handlers also cook up food during missions and expeditions topower up their partner’s abilities.
When not using the Meowscular Chef for the player’s dietary needs, enable the Astera 3 Star Chef Coat to give the Handler that extra touch of professionalism. It doesn’t give any bonuses to cooked recipes; however, it does make the foodfeellike it was prepared by a pro, even when the Meowscular Chef is nowhere to be found.
1The Handler’s Mischievous Dress
The Handler’s Mischievous Dress is the most detailed, ornate, and overall best-looking outfit for the Handler. It’s an outfit somewhere betweenA Nightmare Before Christmasand Harley Quinn of theBatmanfranchise, with a little bit of Moxxi fromBorderlandsas well.
The costume outfits the Handler with a variety of spooky assets. It features a tiny orange-and-black hat, a lacy cape around her neck, a purple-and-black skirt with ornate white embellishments and pumpkin baubles. Frilly sleeves and eye-catching eyeshadow complete the look. The costume is Halloween-themed, to be certain, but its vaguely baroque design fits intothe world ofMonster Hunterjust fine.
