Capcom’sMonster Hunter Risehas partnered with a real ninja museum in Japan to bring a unique themed experience for the game’s fans and museum visitors. With the ninja theme being central toMonster Hunter Rise’s Kamura village, the special event is likely a great way for the company to give fans a taste of what the game could have been like in real life.WithMonster Hunter Risehitting next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in a few days, it is not surprising for Capcom to be exerting a lot of marketing effort to entice the gaming community to pick up the action-RPG. Efforts can be seen all around, not just in the pre-order bonuses anddeluxe editions ofMonster Hunter Rise, but also in the real world. Hosting events and partnering with physical locations just like this ninja museum is probably another drive by Capcom to keep the interest of theMonster Huntercommunity.RELATED:New Versions of Monster Hunter Rise Come With a Big CatchAccording to the official website of the tourist information center of Koka City’s Kogaryu Real Ninja Museum, the specialMonster Hunter Riseeventand exhibit will be held from February 1 to March 31. Several of the museum’s floors and current exhibitions will be transformed to feature the theme of the action-RPG. This includes a unique AR experience where visitors will be able to throw ninja stars or shurikens at some of the powerful creatures inMonster Hunter Rise. Other activities involve more educational themes through historical exhibits of actual ninja attire, weapons, and more.
It seems the whole of Koka City in Japan’s Shiga prefecture is involved in theMonster Hunter Risecollaboration. The city will also be hosting a stamp rally across different tourist spots around the area. Participating fans who complete the stamp rally will getMonster Hunter Rise-themed rewards. What’s more, a train that runs through Koka City will be skinned inMonster Hunter Risedecals and will play the game’s music as it travels its routes. And finally, limited merchandise such as shirts, tote bags, keychains, and more will be sold only during the themed event.
Unfortunately, the event is only being held in Koka City in Japan, so fans will have to travel to the location to get the experience. Hopefully Capcom USA will also consider holding physical events like this for its Western fans. This would be a great way to engage the fanbase and keep theMonster Hunter Risecommunity involved.
Monster Hunter Riseis currently available on PC and Switch. It will also be released on January 20 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
