Today, Capcom hosted a specialMonster HunterDigital Event to show off moreMonster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruingameplay, and to reveal the new content coming toMonster Hunter Risein the 3.0 title update. The upcoming update for the game will be adding two new monsters, a new ending to further advance the story, and a slew of miscellaneous bug fixes.

The two new monsters that will be added to the game are Crimson Glow Valstrax and Apex Zinogre; however, there could be a surprise monster or two available in the patch, asCapcom secretly added Bazelgeuse to the gamewithout even mentioning it during the previousMonster Hunterlivestream.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 Release Time

As for when the latest update forMonster Hunter Risegoes live, Capcom confirmed the time via Twitter shortly after the digital event came to an end. Luckily, players will not have to wait long at all to sink their teeth into the newly added content.

Monster Hunter Riseplayerswill be able to download the free3.0. title update at exactly 5 PM PT on May 26, which means that players in the west will actually have access to the new content later today without having to wait an extra day. Here’s a handy chart for some of the major time zones around the world that shows what time the update should be live for Switch players:

Just like the previous2.0 title update forMonster Hunter Riselast month, the patch will be free for all players. The update will require approximately 1.4GB of space on the Switch. And if players have yet to download any of the previousRisepatches, the entire download will be 2.9 GB total.

Also revealed during the broadcast, Capcom showed off the update roadmap forMonster Hunter Rise.Sometime in the middle of June, there will be a Capcom Collab event withMonster Hunter Stories 2. And July and August will also have a Capcom Collab event of their own, but Capcom has yet to reveal which franchises the event will be partnering up with. If these collabs are anything like the events inMonster Hunter: World, fans can possibly expect anappearance from aResident Evilcharacter, or perhaps Mega Man himself.

Monster Hunter Riseis now available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. A PC port is expected to launch in early 2022.
