Marvel’s Spider-Man 2also builds upon its predecessors in several ways, such as giving players a larger open world with new locations to explore. One of the most noteworthy additions toSpider-Man 2’s map is Queens, the real-life New York borough that serves as Peter Parker’s home in the comics. InSpider-Man 2, Peter and Mary Jane have moved into Aunt May’s old house after her death in the first game, and many important scenes take place in the Parker residence and the normally modest neighborhood surrounding it.
Of course, this could also raise the question of how Peter Parker’s neighbors react to Spider-Man regularly showing up next door, and Reddit user 2002alexandros recently imagined what this would be like with a series ofSpider-Man 2screenshots. Made usingSpider-Man 2’s in-depth Photo Mode, these images depict Peter Parker entering and exiting his house in full Spider-Man attire, much to the confusion of the neighbors taking them.
Other r/SpidermanPS4 users have replied to 2002alexandros’s humorous post by pointing out instances where Peter Parker and Miles Morales seem to have no regard for maintaining their secret identity inSpider-Man 2, like talking to known loved ones in costume or hanging around in the open with their masks off. Some have even wondered ifthe currently unannouncedSpider-Man 3could see Peter and Miles reveal their identities to the public as Peter did during theCivil Warstoryline in the comics.
In the meantime, Peter should consider himself lucky that his neighbors haven’t been able to figure out his secret, considering how often Spidey swings by the Parker household duringMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.
