Karen Gillan, who has appeared as Thanos’ adopted daughter Nebula in four Marvel films to date, says Chris Hemsworth is even funnier inThor: Love & Thunder. The fourth installment of theThorfranchise concluded production earlier this year in Australia.

Gillan recently toldColliderthat she was excited aftershe readThor 4’s script, calling it “a hell of a ride.” The actresses also stated that Hemsworth is “even more hilarious” than he was inRagnarok, which is largely considered to be the funniestThorfilm to date. Following 2013’sThor: The Dark World, Marvel Studios made a concerted effort to change the tone of the franchise and showcase the comedic side of its titular star. Hemsworth previously stated that while he was happy with the secondThorfilm, it didn’t provide opportunities to be funny.Thor 2grossed over $850 million worldwide on a $180 million budget.

Gillan’s Nebula will appear in James Gunn’sGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.The Pratt-led MCU film also stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Elizabeth Debicki. Gunn confirmed that the sequel would take place afterThor: Love and Thunderin the MCU timeline. Disney notably reinstated franchise creator Gunn to direct the installment after he was fired for past Tweets. However, his work onVol. 3was pushed back on account of him signing on to write and helmThe Suicide Squadfor Warner Bros. long before he had been rehired by Disney.

Nebula was created by Roger Stern and John Buscema and first appeared in 1985’sThe Avengers. The former Luphomoid assassin possesses superhuman strength and durability, as well as the ability to regenerate. The character made her live-action debut inGuardians of the Galaxyand was last seen joining the team in the Benatar. Gillan and theGuardianscast will also star in aGuardians of the Galaxyholiday specialdue to be released beforeVol. 3.

Gillan can be currently seen inNetflix’sGunpowder Milkshake. Navot Papushado’s action thriller follows Sam (Gillan), an assassin who joins forces with her mother (Lena Headey) after a big mission spins out of control.
