As you wage war in the name of managed democracy, you’ll come across three different types of currency inHelldivers 2. Super Credits are essentially the game’s version of a premium currency. They can be bought for real money and spent on new gear or snazzy cosmetics.
However, one thingHelldivers 2does differently fromother live service gamesis allowing Super Credits to be earned via normal gameplay. If you would rather earn your gear through blood, sweat, and tears, here’s how you canget Super Credits without spending a cent.

Updated March 11th, 2024 by Russ Boswell: There are multiple ways to get additionalSuper Credits in Helldivers 2, with some of them being found across maps while players explore. Super Credits can be very valuable in unlocking rotating armor sets in a specialized store in-game. To better help players grabfree Super Credits in Helldivers 2while they explore areas, the following guide has been updated with a video to better show some of the locations for these credits.
How To Unlock Super Credits Via Warbonds
Warbonds areHelldivers 2’s take on a battle pass. Instead of having an XP-based track progression, you can spend your hard-earned Medals here to purchaseweapons, emotes, armor, andSuper Credits— this applies to both the free and premium Warbonds. This is amajor departure from the first game, which used mission-based progression to unlock new equipment.
TheHelldivers Mobilize!Warbond, available at the launch of the game, includes800 SCspread across all 10 of its pages, while the premiumSteeled Veteranstrack contains only300 SC. Unfortunately, the cost to unlock Super Credits increases per page, so you’ll have to consider if you’d rather unlock a new piece of gear or get the extra money. Medals can be relatively hard to come by since they require mission completion or additional exploration while playing.

Loot Caches and Random POIs
The open maps ofHelldivers 2offer plenty of goodies to find forthose who love exploration. If you open up your map, you may seediamond iconsscattered all over. These indicate the location ofPOIsthat you and your friends can raid for extra ammo, weapons, Medals, and Super Credits. These POIs can range from crash sites to loot stashes and enemy-infested facilities in dire need of liberty.
It appears that Super Credits have a very low chance of appearing in these POIs. You can find them as a potential reward for opening crashed emergency pods. Depending on the map you’re on, the number of POIs may range from few to surprisingly many. It’s up to you to decide if the team can spare the time to hunt down these loot caches. As of writing, it’s hard to pin down if higher-difficulty missions contain more POIs or if they have better chances of having Super Credits lying around.

According to the developer FAQ attheHelldiversDiscord server, players are expected toearn 10-40 Super Credits per hourdepending on how they play, and it’s likely that some gamers will exceed that rate if they optimize their playstyle.
