It’s unclear whyHogwarts Legacydoesn’t have a photo mode, and while there are workarounds, nothing beats the convenience of the real thing. Unfortunately, it’s unclear if an official photo mode will ever come toHogwarts Legacy, much to the disappointment of fans who realize how much potential such a feature would have in the game. After all,Hogwarts Legacyhas been noted for its impressive graphics and stunning recreation of Hogwarts castle. A dedicated photo mode could be incredible.
Photo modes in video games sometimes make it possible for players to discover hidden details and other secrets that may have otherwise stayed hidden forever. So beyond the fact that a photo mode would allow forHogwarts Legacyplayers to snap impressive shots, it could also let them explore the game world in a way that’s not currently possible in the base game.Hogwarts Legacy’s massive open worldcould be hiding all kinds of things that would be easier to discover with a photo mode, so hopefully the feature is added at some point down the line.
Avalanche Software hasn’t revealed what it has planned for futureHogwarts Legacyupdates, and it’s unclear if anything as substantial as a dedicated photo mode will actually come to the game. However, we do know that the Nintendo Switch port ofHogwarts Legacyis set to release in July. Since thePS4 and Xbox One ports ofHogwarts Legacyreleased alongside a new update, it’s not unreasonable to assume that the same could be true for the Switch release. If that’s the case, perhaps photo mode could be bundled in with the bug fixes and other improvements. Fans shouldn’t hold their breath, however.
Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with a Switch version dropping July 25.
