The series has spawned many characters that have become larger than life itself. There are many students present in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for fans who have the potential to be a member of the Ministry of Magic, either using their influence to better this institute or sending it tumbling down a path of corruption.
5Hermione Granger
Hermione is the first name in the minds of most people who talk about wizards with great brains. She’sone of the brightest students in the history of Hogwartsand saved both Harry and Ron from a bind every time they struggled to keep up with their studies. The fact that she takes rules seriously and tries not to get on the wrong side of these jurisdictions too much makes her a perfect candidate for a job at the Ministry of Magic.

That being said, Hermione is also pretty stubborn and can fight pretty incessantly. This can make her a hard person to work with… but someone as brilliant as her is bound to become more mature and realize that working in tandem with people is important when starting out in this job before ascending to position and power, letting her finally enact her personal brand of justice in areas that interest her.
4Draco Malfoy
Draco Malfoy is a pretty talented wizard, although most people may assume that he’s far from the most perfect person to have a job in the Ministry of Magic. However, people who work in this organization don’t just get in by merit alone, and Malfoy’s powerful connections could easily net him a high-ranking job in the institute in no time at all.
He can definitely settle into the life of a decorated employee while not really doing all that much… something that a lot of Ministry of Magic people excel at. The fact that he loves to flaunt his authority makes him a perfect candidate for this department, and the fact that the Ministry is pretty corrupt in its own right certainly works in his favor too!
3Cedric Diggory
It’s a shame thatCedric met his demise at the end ofGoblet of Fire, being killed by Peter Pettigrew under Voldemort’s orders. He was one of the brightest and most popular students in Hogwarts, featuring a combination of intellect and charm that made him so popular in the school. His death shocked everyone in Hogwarts, marking a huge turning point for the series as it signaled the rebirth of the Dark Lord.

Given his aptitude in all things magic, it’s easy to see why Cedric is well-suited for a job at the Ministry of Magic. His charisma would’ve made him popular with all the right people, letting his career flourish. That being said, Cedric’s talent could’ve definitely allowed him to pursue a more glamorous career, and the fact that he reveled in his popularity meant that he could’ve preferred a job that helped him cater to his interests in a better manner.
2Hannah Abbott
One of the students in the background ofHarry Potterwho got a little more time to shine in the books, Hannah Abbot is a character that a lot of people may have forgotten about, which is understandable. She wasn’t the most popular character in the series, but the fact that her mother was killed by Death Eaters in the sixth book was shocking to witness.
Shecame back to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts, showing just how strong-willed she really was. Hannah was also chosen to be a prefect in her later years, showing that she could handle the responsibilities that come from a position in the Ministry of Magic. While there are times when the pressures of being a student get to her, Hannah has proven herself to be pretty competent for such an important role.
1The Patil Twins
Parvati and Padma Patil are two twins whowere pretty bright students in their own right. Their biggest moment in the series comes when they’re asked out by Harry and Ron to the dance, who had both failed to find a partner after their first choices ended up rejecting them for some reason or the other.
Both characters have shown a ton of zeal when it comes to their studies, meaning that a role in an intellectual capacity in the Ministry of Magic wouldn’t be a long shot for them at all. Of course, whether they would actually excel in this role is a completely different story altogether.
