There are many different things to enjoy inGenshin Impact, as the game offers various avenues for amusement to its players, whether its players exploring the vast world of Teyvat or taking interest in the story and lore of the world and its characters. Once players complete a majority of the quests and world exploration,GenshinImpact’s limited-time events and new updates help keep the game fresh and playable. However, when the limited-time events end, players are left with base game content once more, and HoYoverse needs to address the issue to retain player satisfaction.
Genshin Impactalready addressed the lack of additional content by adding a new permanent game mode into the base game: Genius Invokation TCG.Genius Invokation TCGis a pleasant inclusion into the game that’s unlike anything else that’s been added toGenshin Impact. Not only is the game mode permanent, it’s also being updated with new cards and characters every few updates. Adding another permanent game mode similarly to the TCG could be beneficial to the game and appeal to some players, and one possible option HoYoverse should consider is making its rhythm game mode permanent.

Why The Rhythm Game Should Be Permanent in Genshin Impact
Although there are plenty of limited-time game modes to choose from, the music rhythm game mode should be added first. TheGenshin Impactrhythm game mode has occurred several times already in previous events under different names. During Invitation of Windblume and Windblume’s Breath, it was known as Ballads of Breeze. The other two minor events that returned the rhythm game were Tune to the World’s Sounds andThe Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival.
Rhythm games are generally enjoyable throughout the gaming community, as it allows games to put their music and soundtrack into the spotlight while giving players a fun, arcade-like game to play.Genshin Impact’s music is one of the most phenomenal aspects of the game, both in-game music and the music featured incharacter demos/teasers, cutscenes, and other sources. Given how the rhythm game has already made an appearance in four total events, Hoyoverse should just make the game mode a lasting addition to the game to appease those who loved playing it during the limited-time events.

How to Make The Rhythm Game Mode Worthwhile for Players
The rhythm game mode would have to be properly integrated intoGenshin Impactsimilarly to how Genius Invokation TCG was: as appealing side content with rewards and character interactions. The rewards would have to be the most enticing part about the game mode, since players need some sort of incentive to play the side content rather than to ignore it. Primogems are one of the obvious rewards, but there should also be more liketalent materials and weapon ascension materialsthat would otherwise be grinded in domains. There could also be cosmetic awards for players instruments, such as skins for lyres, zithers, and drums.
Genshin Impact’s diverse cast of characters should also make appearances in the rhythm game mode to catch players' attention, as players would love to play music alongside their favorites.Xinyan, the rock-and-roll musician of Liyue Harbor, and Venti, the bard from Mondstadt, would be two characters that players could play music with, and doing so could gift players special instrument skins and maybe decorations for Serenitea Pots. Also, since Genius Invokation TCG takes place in the Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt, the set location for the rhythm game could be in a musician’s club in Liyue, possibly owned by Xinyan.
The rhythm game should continue to have multiple difficulties similar to the limited-time game modes, with the higher difficulties presenting a challenge and extra rewards. It should also keep the feature of custom beatmaps made by other players who create more challenging or appealing ones compared to the default beatmaps. Since it’s already been in the game before, the rhythm game mode shouldn’t take too much work. All Hoyoverse has to do is pull the trigger and implement it with more content, as with eachnewGenshin Impactregion and character, more songs are bound to be added.
