Fishing Game Quest In Genshin Impact
After reaching the southwestern side of Merusea Village, players can notice a Melusine calledIara fishing by the river. She’s one of the many characters players can speak to obtain Strange Part, which is required to progress in Mamere’squest inGenshin Impact.
Paimon will question Iara’s fishing techniques since she’s fishing where there’s barely any water. Paimon explains that it’s weird for a Melusine to be using a fishing rod and Iara defends herself bystating that she learned how to fish from Delarochewho also gave her the fishing rod. However, Iara immediately admits after her statement that a long time has passed without her being able to catch anything.

Paimon offers to help Iara and prove her skills in fishing while Traveler wonders if there are even any fish in this area. Iara then gets confused and mentions that Delaroche told her not all areas have fish. She also mentions the “thing” she fished while in this area.Paimon prepares the bait inGenshin Impactwhile Iara showers her with compliments.
Now that the conversation is over, players can move a bit forward to spread the bait along the river. After doing so, a non-hostile Ball Octopus will appear that doesn’t respond to any action. To progress in this small hidden quest, players have toattack the Ball Octopus and defeat it. After defeating the Ball Octopus, Iara will place the weakened creature into her waiting bucket.

Paimon wonders how a Ball Octopus ends up in such an area as it’s unlikely to be found here. To Paimon’s surprise, Iara cures her curiosity by telling her that she caught it herself since she wanted to be sure of her skills at using a fishing rod. Eventually, Paimon finds out that all this time Iara was using the wrong types of bait, which is why she was failing all this long.
Finally, after the conversation between Paimon, Traveler, and Iara is over, the Fishing Game quest inGenshin Impactwill end and players will get 20 Primogems alongside one Strange Part.
