The games are known for expansive environments that provide a virtual playground for car aficionados, but even the most generous sandbox eventually grows tiresome if there’s not a fresh influx of toys. By maintaining a trickle of new content and making it free to consumers, the developer has a better chance of maintaining enthusiasm for its flagship property until the time comes for an official sequel announcement.
