Fortnite’s 8-Ball vs. Scratch challenges have dropped, 24-hours before they were intended to go live. This was announced along with theNinja skinand Sidegrading with the new v11.40, and players are excited for the new content. Some players have been desperately searching the map for the very well hidden gnome to complete the 8-Ball vs. Scratch challenges.

The Riddle
The hidden gnome is located between “fancy view, a wooden shack, and a big house” somewhere on theFortnitemap. All these locations are on the west side of the map, just like the castle to loot forthe Golden Scavenger Medal. The “fancy view” is located along the beach to the southwest of the Sweaty Sands location. The “big house” is located just northwest of Holly Hedges. The “wooden shack” is also located just southwest of Sweaty Sands. These locations triangulate to this location here, on this map:
At the Location
TheFortnitegnome will be located to the southwest of Sweaty Sands, just inside of the beach area near the little peninsula circled on the map above. So once players figure out exactly where the location is on the map, they’ll have to look for the grassy area filled with pretty yellow flowers. Once players find this location, look for the little gnome in the middle of the grass; he’ll be holding a cane and wearing a blue pointed hat.
Once players find him, they will be able to search him, and that will complete the challenge. If the gnome is not there on the map, keep in mind that all previous challenges have to be completed before this little guy will appear.

Fortnite’s Chapter 2: Season 1 is just about ready to end, the current end date listed as next month, so players will want to make sure to get all of the limited-time challenges before the changeover. Also, players should visitPleasant Park, just in case Epic removes itfrom the map entirely.
