Their unique Tarnished recently made the rounds on social media, adding to the endless stream of memorableElden Ringcharacters that have surfaced online since the game’s critically acclaimed 2022 release.
Following much anticipation, FromSoftware has recently revealed that the first and likely only expansion for its hit RPG,Shadow of the Erdtree, will finally be released on June 21. The announcement had anoticeable impact onElden Ring’s player count, as many fans seemingly decided to delve into another playthrough while waiting for the DLC to drop. This also gave rise to yet another influx of distinct-looking characters that the fandom opted to design ahead of their new adventures in the Lands Between.

Elden Ring Vordt of the Boreal Valley Cosplay Attempt Accidentally Yields Mass Effect Villain
One such particularly memorable Tarnished was recently authored by YouTuber Saneroot, who managed to design a faithful recreation of theMass Effectvillain Saren Arterius. The content creator admitted that the end result of their design efforts was a happy accident of sorts, not least because their initial goal was to recreate theVordt of the Boreal Valley fromDark Souls 3inElden Ring.
Saneroot has ultimately decided to just roll with their Saren Arterius lookalike, having even gone through the effort of putting together a detailed video going over all of theElden Ringcharacter creatorsliders that they ended up using. Fans interested in mimicking their design should hence be able to do so with relative ease.

Granted, sliders are just part of the equation, as Saren Arterius’s iconic look would be incomplete without some carefully curated equipment. Players who still haven’t gotten far intoElden Ringbut are eager to replicate this design might want to refrain from looking up the locations of the specific armor pieces that were used to complement Saneroot’s Saren Arterius cosplay. That’s primarily because some of them can only be found fairly late into the game, so even the very names of the general areas in which they are located can be considered spoilers.

The only exception is the Confessor Hood, which is given as starting equipment to anyone whopicks the Confessor class at the start of theirElden Ringplaythrough. Those who don’t will still get a chance to purchase this piece of headgear later on during the game, as the Confessor Hood is also sold by a merchant whom most players will encounter after a couple dozen hours of adventuring.
