How To Use Offerings

Once Guardians have participated in the Season 22 opening mission, they’ll be able to freely jump into either the Savathun’s Spire or Altars of Summoning activity. While there are plenty of secrets and rewards tucked away in the Spire, the Altars of Summoning are where players can go to spend Offerings for a chance at a pile of loot – including patterns for newSeason 22 craftable weapons. Best of all, Altars of Summoning can be completed indefinitely without leaving the activity, at least until Guardians run out of Offerings.

After entering the activity, players will be guided to one of three arenas. Each arena has four interactable totems at its entrance, and this is where Offerings are made. Each totem corresponds to a different type of Offering, and players will notice that only totems matching Offerings currently in their inventory will be interactable. These totems are easy to identify, with a large green glyph floating above.

While there are four totems by every arena, there are only three different types of Offerings currently in the game. The initial three Offerings are tiered, similar to gear, including a green Feeble Offering, a blue Robust Offering, and a purple Powerful Offering. The quality of the Offering dictates the difficulty of the encounter Guardians are about to start and also determines how many rewards appear at the end when players amass their tithe. Higher tier Offerings additionally fast-track players' path to rewards, requiring fewer encounters between tithe chests and more opportunities touse Witch’s Keys for even more loot.

How To Earn More Offerings

In Season 22, Offerings are the main form of seasonal currency. With that said, players can earn the items the same way they have acquired other seasonal currencies in the past. Activities are the primary way to stock up on Offerings, with more challenging options rewarding higher-tiered Offerings. Naturally, any of the three main playlists (Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit) is a fine way to quickly nab some Offerings. And if players are comfortable jumping intoDungeons, Raids, Nightfalls, or Trials of Osiris, there are better chances of earning Robust or Powerful Offerings.

On top of the general currency flow, the Season 22 armor comes with the unique perk “Exhumed Excess.” This increases players' likelihood of earning extra Offerings whenever completing activities. Just one piece of gear will apply the buff, but it can be stacked up to four times through different pieces of equipment.
