Destiny 2: Shadowkeepintroduced the Lectern of Enchantment as the method by which players can earnthe new gear from the Moon. The key materials for utilizing the Lectern of Enchantment are Phantasmal Fragments and Phantasmal Cores, which players will want to focus on earning in order to chase better stat rolls on armor and perk rolls on weapons.

Phantasmal Fragments are a Rare item, the purpose of which is to use them in various ways to get Phantasmal Cores. Phantasmal Cores are a Legendary item that is key to purchasing Essences from the Lectern of Enchantment so thatDestiny 2players can choose which specific weapons and armor from the Moon set they want to earn.

With Phantasmal Cores being the more sought-after item and more the end goal for getting Essences, here are all the places that they can be found:

So, then, how can players find and even farmPhantasmal Fragments? First off, players can buy Fragments directly from the Lectern of Enchantment for 25 Helium Filaments, the planetary destination material found on the Moon. Next, they can be found from killing Nightmares and opening the chests that unlock after defeating Nightmares. The best way to farm this is to go to Sorrow’s Harbor in the north part of the Moon map and run around the circular plates located around the area, which spawn a Nightmare Ogre. Defeat it and the enemies around it for a chance for Fragments to drop. Likewise, opening the chest also has a chance of getting Fragments as well.

The other best way to farm for Phantasmal Fragments is to do daily bounties from the Lectern of Enchantment. Daily bounties reward Fragments and players can continue to pick up random daily bounties even after the normal four bounties are collected and completed. Note that players can only hold 30 Phantasmal Fragments and 3 Phantasmal Cores at a time, so players will want to avoid hoarding these materials. Extras will go to the Postmaster; however, these materials should be spent regularly on Essences so that players can keep getting more.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeepis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
