Cyberpunk 2077is here, and for everything the game does well, there seems to be a bug to match it. The latest issue seesCyberpunk 2077protagonist V sleeping in a very odd position, and clever fans have already started to roll out memes about the character’s unique style of sleeping.
No matter whatlifepath players choose inCyberpunk 2077, V will surely be exhausted from their life of crime when they come home. As such, it is completely understandable that the tired protagonist would not be worried about tucking themselves in and getting into a comfortable sleeping position. However, while CD Projekt Red may have intended to give off the vibe of V flopping into their bed, the confusing position of the character model has led to plenty of jokes.

As shown in a meme from Reddit User FrozenLaughs, Only V’s arms and the upper half of their body is on the bed — meaning that everything from the waist down would be hanging off of it. With V’s legs resting on the floor, the sleeping position hardly looks comfortable, and it would likely lead to V falling out of bed if done in real life. With the goofy sleeping position making no sense whatsoever, thelatestCyberpunk 2077memepokes fun at the weird bug.
FrozenLaughs’ meme pulls no punches, referencing the terriblecrunch time endured byCyberpunk 2077’s developers. Reading “CDPR was crunching so long they forgot what a bed looks like,” the hilarious meme makes great use of the odd sequence where V falls asleep staring at their pillows. Accompanied by plenty of funny comments, like Redditor BadassDeluxe making fun of the game’s marketing by saying “when you’re a cyber punk you sleep when you want to,” the post has caught an incredible amount of traction on the r/gaming subreddit.
With over 70,000 upvotes and 900 different comments, those playing the game and watching from afar have clearly gotten enjoyment from some ofCyberpunk 2077’s flaws. While there are genuinelygame-breakingCyberpunk 2077bugsseen in the console versions of the game, there are plenty of silly moments like this sleeping position as well. Though CD Projekt Red can fix the issue by just moving V further into the bed, it remains to be seen if a change will actually come.
While more memes will surely be shared about V’s poor bedtime positioning, the good news is that the questionable sleeping style is left out ofCyberpunk 2077’s romance scenes. Thankfully, players will not have to worry about the bizarre and funny issue ruining those moments.
Cyberpunk 2077is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2021.
