Command and Conquer Remastered Collectionmakes some major changes to Westwood Studios' classic real-timestrategy games, including adding 4K graphics and updated UIs. While these updates will certainly please many fans, certain players will be more interested to know about the gameplay changes that have been made by the remaster. Specifically, some fans will be curious if it is possible to attack-move inCommand and Conquer Remastered, and this guide looks to shine some light on the matter.
To put things simply, there is no way to attack-move inCommand and Conquer Remastered– a fact that may be slightly jarring to many RTS fans. Indeed, an attack-move option, which instructs units to automatically engage enemies as they make their way to a location, is present in many of the genre’s most well-known titles, and adjusting to its absence may prove to be a bit of a challenge. That said, there are some movement commands inCommand and Conquer Remasteredthat players can try to use in place of an attack-move.

Perhaps the best of these movements commands is ctrl+alt+click, which is a targeted Area Guard that will instruct units to defend a specified spot. While this will not cause the units to attack enemies on their way to the target, some fans may find that a targeted Area Guard is better than nothing, and it is easy enough to employ. To note, this movement command was present in theoriginalCommand and Conquergames, but it has been improved forC&C Remasteredbecause the ground is now a valid target.
Alternatively, players can move their units to a desired location inCommand and Conquer Remasteredand then manually initiate Area Guard by pressing G. While this may seem somewhat redundant now that ctrl+alt+click can target the ground,RTS fansthat put many hours into the classic games may still feel more comfortable with this option.
Finally, inRed Alertplayers can order a standard attack and then click around while holding Q to instruct units to continue attacking as they move. This is, of course, not identical to ordering an attack-move, but it is something that fans may want to try out for themselves.
