Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s online multiplayer component is known for having quite a few bugs, with new reasons seemingly being discovered every day. One bug that players have noticed happens when they touch a Care Package inModern Warfare, causing them to die instantly.
TheCall of Duty:Modern WarfareCare Package bug can be seen in a new video uploaded by Reddit user MineRaid. In the video, MineRaid is playing on thePiccadilly map, and they call in a Care Package. A few seconds after the Care Package lands, they slide into it to retrieve the killstreak inside. But instead of being able to collect the Care Package, they just die as soon as their body makes contact with the box.

It’s unclear how widespread this issue is, but replies to MineRaid’s video indicates that this bizarre Care Package bug has happened to otherModern Warfareplayers on other maps. It’s also unclear why this bug happens in the first place or when a fix will be coming. However, there’s abig update coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarenext week, so maybe fans won’t have to wait too much longer for a fix.
Call of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 2 kicks off on February 11, and it’s bringing with itSimon “Ghost” Riley as a playable operator. And ifModern WarfareSeason 1 was any indication, it’s likely that Season 2 will also kick off with some more substantial new content as well, particularly in the form of new multiplayer maps.
In the reveal teaser for Ghost, theModern Warfare 2map Rustwas teased. Rust was found inModern Warfare’s files ages ago, and so its addition to the game has just seemed like a matter of when. If Rust is added to the game, it seems likely that it will be pulling double duty as both a standard multiplayer map and a Gunfight map due to its small size, but that has yet to be confirmed.
WithModern WarfareSeason 2set to start in just a matter of days, more information on what all it will entail should come to light sooner rather than later. Whether or not it will include a fixes for bugs like this Care Package issue remains to be seen, but fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
