Despite all the flaws ofBattlefield 2042that many have been quick to point out, most players seem to agree that the new Portal mode is excellent. Now, oneBattlefield 2042player has used the feature to remakeSquid Game’s most iconic scene.

Battlefield 2042fans have done a lot of clever things with Portal thus far. While the purpose of the mode is to create custom playlists that mash certain parts of pastBattlefieldgames together, gamers are already pushing the feature to its limits by crafting new game modes. While a training course forBattlefield 2042’s wingsuitsis certainly awesome, one new creation could prove even more popular, as it bringsSquid Game’s Redlight, Greenlight to the multiplayer-focused FPS.

For those unfamiliar with themassively popular showSquid Game, it is essentially a competition where players risk their lives in deadly versions of children’s games for money to pay off their debts. One such game is Redlight, Greenlight, which sees competitors needing to move when a deadly doll is turned around. If the doll spots them when it is scanning for movement, the players will be gunned down with a Sniper Rifle. While the game is certainly simple, it is not the easiest thing to recreate inBattlefield 2042, especially because Portal is not a proper map editor.

Still, YouTubers andBattlefield 2042fansTwo Angry Gamers TV managed to successfully rebuild this part ofSquid Game. While it is not possible to add a giant doll toBattlefield 2042, the players compensated by giving all participants a Sniper Rifle. When the “Red Light” text appears on top of the screen, players need to freeze, or they will be gunned down by their opponents. When the “Green Light” appears, they are free to move around with a knife and get better positioning.

While theBattlefield 2042videodoes feature funny moments and raw gameplay of the mode, Two Angry Gamers TV also goes over how it was made. The players created a timer that switches between a Redlight and Greenlight every eight seconds, while gamers would get a different Sniper Rifle with one bullet every single Red phase. With players needing to not miss, and be careful when moving to hit a shot since another player could he watching, the mode is challenging and should be a blast with friends. Those interested in playing Redlight, Greenlight can use the access code AADYBD.

While it remains to be seen if All-Out Warfare is improved andrequested features forBattlefield 2042make their way to the game, Portal could help it thrive for a long time to come. While it would be fun to see otherSquid Gamerecreations like the glass bridge, this Redlight, Greenlight remake will be tough to top.

Battlefield 2042is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
