Of the many new challenges thatAssassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers will face in Ireland, some of the most worthy of attention from the greatest Viking warriors are the Trials of Morrigan. These combat-oriented tasks very much embody the spirit of theWrath of the DruidsDLC in that Eivor gets to take on a bunch of eponymous foes for unique rewards. One of the first that the player can encounter is found in the upper part of the Meath region, near the Kell’s Abbot monastery and the Tullagh Laght Viewpoint.

The quickest and easiest way to this Trial of Morrigan is by fast-traveling to the Tullagh Laght Viewpoint (if it is unlocked) and then heading directly west.
Finding The Trial In Upper Meath
As one travels west, players can take note of the dark patch of trees and the ridges seen on the map; this is where the Trial of Morrigan in northern Meath can be found. It is pretty much a straight ride to there from the Tullagh Laght Viewpoint, so players should be able to spot it easily enough with conventional scouting methods.

Using Synin’s aid, Eivor can also spot the location from above, as the conspicuous and deliberate rock formations will make it obvious. Head to the central standing stone and interact with the basin to begin the battle.
Beating The Trial
Make sure to be at full HP and have the maximum number of rations for optimal healing before beginning the trial, as the druidic enemies will not hold back. The first thing that the player will see upon beginning the trial will be horned skeletal black phantoms, a common symbol in this DLC, but will shortly afterward be attacked by multiple foes.
While the dark spirits look on amidst a blazing white sky and ominous green mist, a few different kinds of foes will approach. It should be noted that every Trial of Morrigan will pit Eivor up against different groups and mixes of the new enemies found in theWrath of the DruidsDLC. This one will send many sickle-wielding druids at the player as well as a few more dangerous elite-tier enemies that possess long glaives. There are a couple of other lesser foes mixed in, but the sickle and glaive druids are the biggest threats.
How To Beat The Sickle Druids
These aggressive enemies will rush the player with their curved blades, though will also block incoming attacks with their light shields. This makes them versatile in battle, and a bit tedious to deal with, however, heavy attacks can break their guard and even stun them; both ideal ways to take out these foes.
How To Beat The Glaive Druids
While the sickle-wielders will charge ahead, the glaive druids tend to hang back and only attack when Eivor gets close. For this reason, it would be a good idea to stay away from them while defeating the sickle druids. Those holding glaives are also a fair deal tougher, so being able to focus on them individually instead of as part of a group will certainly make things easier.
Despite lacking shields, these elites can also block using the shaft of their polearm, so heavy attacks can also be very useful on them. However, they aren’t very good at blocking ranged attacks, so arrows launched from a bow can be even more effective if one is having trouble at melee range. After felling them all, one will have completed this Trial of Morrigan and have come one step closer to ridding Ireland of enemies.
