Apex LegendsSeason 6 content is finally underway for players across different platforms. Naturally, there have been some changes to the meta game ofApexlike whichweapons are more powerful in Season 6.
WhileApex LegendsSeason 6 hasn’t gotten off to the smoothest start, with some pretty big glitches and bugs being discovered by players, not all of them are negative. One player posted an interested tip on Reddit that lets Crypto players scan survey beacons much faster.

Season 6 ofApex Legendshas brought about some interesting changes to the game, like the introduction of the newest Legend, Rampart. Additionally, the World’s Edge map has received some changes and a new crafting system has been introduced. Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, the Season 6 update initially brought a few unintentional glitches and bugs to the game as well. Though Respawn is working to iron out these issues, some of them still remain in the game.
One of those bugs is the very rare, thoughgame-breaking revive bugwhere teammates receive no prompt to revive a fallen teammate. However, Season 6 also made plenty of helpful tweaks and changes to a variety of Legends, particularly those in the Recon category. In particular, Crypto’s drone now has the ability to activate respawn beacons and scan survey beacons remotely. By using Crypto’s Tactical Ability, Surveillance Drone, players scan survey beacons incredibly fast while staying under cover.
Usually, when a player scans a survey beacon with a Legend like Pathfinder or Bloodhound, there is an animation that plays out that cannot be skipped. While the animation is somewhat short, it does leave players vulnerable and out in the open for a brief period of time. However, scanning the survey beacon using Crypto’s drone is nearly instantaneous and gives the same benefits. All in all, it seems thatCrypto received a much need buffin Season 6 along with the other Recon Legends inApex.
While the bugs and glitches affecting Season 6 players are annoying, it seems that most of them are fairly rare and how much they pop up in matches. Thankfully, Respawn has already released a patch that fixes many of the issues surrounding Rampart, one of whichprevented Crypto’s drone from scanning playerswho were using Rampart’s minigun Ultimate. Hopefully, Crypto’s handy drone trick remains an intentional part of Crypto’s abilities.
