Recently, Nintendo revealed an official guide book for the game, which will offer tons of information and valuable tips on how players can best live theirnew life on the deserted island. Now, players who are interested in getting the guide book would be happy to know that Amazon is offering it at a deep discount.
Players should note thatAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsOfficial Companion Guidewill be released on August 05, 2025, which is several weeks after the launch of the game. Currently, the guide book can be pre-ordered at Amazon for a cheaper price of only $17.99, which is 40% off its original list price of $29.99. The guide will be a 432-page paperback and will provide players all the essential tips and tricks they would need to excel in the game.

Interestingly enough,the official guidebook revealed the return of the Museum, which has been a staple in previousAnimal Crossinggames. To those unfamiliar with the franchise, the Museum will house rare artifacts, fossils, and other collectible items that players will find in the game’s world. It is still unknown whichAnimal Crossingcharacter will be managing the museum inNew Horizons. However, it is likely that it will be the adorable owl named Blathers, who has been confirmed to return in the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, Nintendo recently hosted a Direct presentation a few days ago that was focused onAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. Apart from showing extensive gameplay, the Direct presentationrevealed several new details about the upcoming gamesuch as new objects, deeper interactivity with villagers, and support for physical amiibo figures and their physical cards.
Apart from new gameplay features, the Direct presentation also confirmed thatAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswill have at least 383 villagersin it. It is worth remembering that its predecessor,Animal Crossing: New Leaffeatured 333 villagers that were eventually bumped up to 399 with the Welcome amiibo update. Nonetheless, it is likely that more villagers will be included inNew Horizons, given that the game has been confirmed to receive free post-launch updates in the future.
During the Direct presentation, Nintendo also confirmed the issue that theNew Horizonswill not include a cloud save feature to prevent manipulation of the in-game clock. However,Nintendo reuploaded the Direct presentationshortly after with a slight change to the cloud saving issue. The new footage indicated that “more details on save data recovery functionality will be shared on a future date.” Of course, this caused further confusion amongAnimal Crossingfans, and the reupload of the Nintendo Direct appears to be a reaction to the initial response about the issue of cloud saving.
