March 10 is designated as Mario Day inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, and players will have plenty ofSuper Mario-themed itemsto collect and celebrate with.Animal Crossing: New Horizonswill have St. Patrick’s Day-themed items available in March as well as part of the Shamrock Day celebration.

Some plant-life will becoming back in season inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsin March as well, like bamboo trees. Bamboo trees can typically be found onMystery Tour islandsthat players travel to, and then they can be-replanted at one’s own island. The bamboo itself can be harvested from the trees to craft unique items. However, it should be stressed thatbamboo trees inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswill go out of season again in May, so those interested should be sure to act fast.

Animal Crossing: New Horizonshas been such a massive success for Nintendo, and so it wouldn’t be surprising if the company figures out a way to extend its life even further. Nintendo has not announced plans for any additionalAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsupdates for 2021 beyond theSuper Marioupdate, so fans will have to wait and see on that front.

Now that Nintendo has provided fans with an entire year’s worth of free content updates, perhaps the company could think about releasing some more substantial DLC in the form of anAnimal Crossing: New Horizonspaid expansion. While Nintendo has shown a willingness to expand on its games with paid DLC in recent years, it has made no indication that it plans on doing so withAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, so fans of the game shouldn’t hold their breath.
