Ethan Page and The Gunns v. The Hardy Party

Ethan Page and Matt Hardy have been at odds for months. Matt and Isiah Kassidy found themselves under contract with Page and The Firm, enduring their abuse for several months. With the help of Jeff Hardy and HOOK, Matt and Kassidy were freed from their contracts with The Firm after securing a victory over Page, Lee Moriarty, Big Bill, and Stokely Hathaway. Enlisting the help of Colten and Austin Gunn, Pageintends to settle the score. Equally unable to forgive and forget, Matt has proposed that if he, Jeff, and Kassidy are victorious at Double or Nothing, Page’s contract will now be in his hands. Out with an injury, Kassidy will be replaced by HOOK. Regardless of who is victorious at Double or Nothing, it is unlike that Page nor Matt will be satisfied.

AEW TNT Championship

After recapturing the TNT Championship from Powerhouse Hobbs, Wardlow found himself in the sights of Christian Cage. Cage has dug deep to torment the three-time TNT Champion, but it has done nothing but anger Wardlow. On Sunday, Cage and Wardlow will compete in a ladder match for the TNT Championship. While Cage has an illustrious career of fighting in ladder matches, Wardlow won the 2022Face of the Revolution ladder matchto earn his shot at the TNT Championship, where he eventually defeated Scorpio Sky to enter his first reign as champion. With the bad blood and experience both men will bring to this ladder match, it will certainly be one to remember.

AEW TBS Championship

After winning the tournament to crown an inaugural TBS Champion over a year ago,Jade Cargill remains the only oneto ever hold the championship. Now 60-0, Cargill’s reign has exceeded 500 days as champion, and she hopes to continue her historical record with a victory over Taya Valkyrie at Double or Nothing. Valkyrie and Cargill have been at odds since Valkyrie’s AEW debut. Their previous meeting for the TBS Championship disabled their shared finisher from being used, keeping Valkyrie from cementing her victory over the champion. Without the restrictions at Double or Nothing, Valkyrie hopes to finish what she started and end the record-setting reign Cargill has been on.

Adam Cole v. Chris Jericho

After a nine-month absence, Adam Cole returned to AEW and quickly found himself in the crosshairs of Chris Jericho andthe Jericho Appreciation Society. Cole and Dr. Britt Baker DMD have both been brutally attacked by JAS and The Outcasts, making the feud personal for Cole. With the JAS pulling for Jericho, Cole has enlisted the help of Roderick Strong and Sabu, who will be in his corner. This unsanctioned match will allow both men to evoke the violence they have eagerly awaited to unleash upon one another for weeks.

21-man Blackjack Battle Royal - AEW Intercontinental Championship

Orange Cassidy will defend his International Championship at Double or Nothing in a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale. Cassidy comes off a fresh defense against Aussie Open’s Kyle Fletcher, who is one of over 20 competitors Cassidy has successfully retained against. The 21-man battle royale will pose a newchallenge to Cassidy’s championship run, though this match, like Cassidy’s other defenses, may take too much out of the champion, including his International Championship. However, the bitter rivals in the battle royale may offer the perfect distraction for Cassidy to walk out with his championship reign intact.

AEW Tag Team Championship

Since recapturing the AEW World Tag Team Championship, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have been at odds with Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Their bad blood extends beyond the championship, as Lethal, Harwood, and Wheeler all have a respectful relationship with Mark Briscoe, who will serve asthe special guest refereefor their match at Double or Nothing. Both teams have attempted to appeal to Briscoe to ensure the match is handled fairly. As a result, Briscoe has fallen victim to several schemes gone wrong, creating animosity between himself and both tag teams. How Briscoe will put his anger aside to make the calls at Double or Nothing will dictate who walks away with his respect and the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

AEW Women’s World Championship

It was Toni Stormthat Jamie Hayter defeated to enter her current reign as AEW Women’s World Champion. Despite battling an injury, Hayter will defend her championship against Storm at Double or Nothing. The Outcasts will undoubtedly be in Storm’s corner, and Hayter will have the support of former AEW Women’s World Champions Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida. This outside company may influence who captures the gold on Sunday as Storm hopes to make history as the first two-time AEW Women’s World Champion.

Blackpool Combat Club v. The Elite - Anarchy in the Arena

The Blackpool Combat Cluband Elite are no strangers to violence or one another. Over the past few weeks, this feud has become personal. Matt Jackson suffered an injury at the hands of the BCC, Hangman Adam Page was attacked with a screwdriver, and Kenny Omega was also attacked with one by long-time ally Don Callis, which cost him a cage match against Jon Moxley. Both Moxley and Bryan Danielson of the BCC were involved inlast year’s Anarchy in the Arena match, well aware of the brutality the match requires. Given the bad blood between these teams, the chaos of Anarchy in the Arena is the perfect way to settle their differences.

AEW World Championship

The four pillars of AEW will compete for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing. The current champion MJF holds victories overDarby Allin, Jack Perry, and Sammy Guevara, yet the champion is not walking into Double or Nothing with the momentum. Allin, Perry, and Guevara have all made their case for winning the gold, and their past AEW accolades support them. However, MJF has earned a reputation for his antics to secure victories and has even offered Guevara an undisclosed amount of money to take the pin at Double or Nothing to secure MJF’s victory. Each of these men walks into the pay-per-view with something to prove and no matter who walks away with the AEW World Championship, this four-way match will be one of AEW’s most historic and memorable matches.
