Summary
Traveller’s Tales has made a name for itself over the years thanks to its massive LEGO franchise. The series has broughtsome of the biggest IPs including Marvel, DC,Jurassic World,Indiana Jones,Star Wars, andHarry Potterto the video game world. With these IPs, the studio has crafted fantastic rides filled to the brim with everything that fans of the various series would expect, plus a few extras that are truly surprising. And while the franchise seems to be mainly relegated to adapting film series, it may be time for it to take a video game franchise likeThe Witcherfor a spin.
The Witcherhas quickly cemented itself as one of the biggest fantasy franchises around through its Netflix show and critically acclaimed video game series. Because of that, fans hunger for even more adventures with Geralt of Rivia. While CD Projekt Red is hard-at-work on the next installment in the video game series, Traveller’s Tales also seems like a great choice to develop fun adventures through that world. It may not seem that likely, but if it happens, then it could have a lot of mileage.

A LEGO Witcher Game Seems Like The Perfect Match
It is Only a Matter of Time Before Traveller’s Tales Adapts a Video Game
Traveller’s Tales has mostly stayed within the realm of movies or TV shows for its many LEGO video games.LEGO Dimensionsmay have expanded that rostera bit with the introduction of packs centered around characters like Sonic, but for the most part, the studio has distanced itself from video game IPs. However, there is a strong chance that will change in the next couple of years.
In the last couple of years, the LEGO brand seems to be increasingly interested in creating sets based on various popular video game franchises. Series likeSuper Mario,Sonicthe Hedgehog,Luigi’s Mansion, andMinecrafthave all received their very own LEGO set lines. On top of that,Horizon Forbidden Westand various Nintendo consoles have also gotten LEGO sets. All of that means that LEGO has access to those brands, which may mean that Traveller’s Tales has access as well. If the studio is interested, then a video game adaptation could be on the horizon.
LEGO The Witcher Could Be a Wild Ride for Fans of the Franchise
It seems like a LEGO game themed after a video game franchise is a possibility sometime in the future. Even though the company still has nottappedThe Witcherfranchise, it feels like that could be the perfect match for a game like this. The fantastical world it takes place in would be a remarkable sight, the stories could be filled with that classic LEGO humor, and the character roster would be top-notch. But one of the best parts of the entire experience would probably be the fun that it could have with adapting the franchise.
SinceThe Witcheris not the most family-friendly, Traveller’s Tales would have to change many aspects to fit with the tone of the LEGO series. For starters, elements like Yennefer’s unicornwould have to be dialed back a bit and replaced with something more in line with LEGO’s style. If the studio handles it like it does with the more mature elements ofJurassic WorldorStar Wars, then it could lead to a pretty funny scenario. Additionally, Geralt’s constant grunting would fit right into the old-school LEGO game formula, which is something fans have been yearning for. And on top of all of that, the gameplay could be some of the most unique in the franchise to date.
Right now, it does not seem likely thatThe Witcherwill ever get a LEGO game. CD Projekt Red seems to be leading the charge in the video game landscape, while Netflix has control over the TV side of things. Along with that, the franchise itself is geared towards a much older audience than most of Traveller’s Tales' video games have been. So, while it may be an exciting prospect, fans may not want to hold their breaths. But maybe that will change someday.
